First Day of School

Well, I have been horrible about getting the blog updated with summer pictures, so I'll just start with the First Day of School pictures and get to the vacation pictures as I can. Here's my 2nd grader and my PreK'er on their first day of school.

Another Zoo Trip

Another trip to the zoo - this time as a family (with daddy). I think the pictures pretty much speak for themelves - it was a much warmer day this time. We saw the stingray exhibit - it was really neat! We were able to bend down and touch them, although, you can see from one of the pictures, that the kids wanted nothing to do with them. They were very soft and smooth. Again, the carousel, a favorite with our family - joyous faces at the end of a long morning and a warm day! And you've got to love the penguins - the exhibit is icy cold, literally, and felt great to us! They are so funny to watch waddle around and dive in the water.

Grant's Farm

Not many animals were out in the Deer Park when we went to Grants Farm in June. I only got a few pictures of animals, but lots of fun pictures of my kids! We love the tram.. and Katherine enjoys feeding the goats (the other 2 are pretty skittish of them - to their credit, the goats can be pretty agressive - especially first thing in the morning, which is when we almost always go).
Christopher with is friend, Jacen.
While there weren't many animals in the Deer Park, the Clydesdales were out in full force in the horse area and got really close - we were able to pet them through the fence - and we actually saw on horse being brought back to the stables in their fancy truck. Fun!

Zoo

Another fun outing! We went to the zoo one cool morning in June with our friends (Jacen and his mom).
Katherine with the rhino.
The elephants were all out (unlike alot of the animals), so I got lots of pictures of them!
Christopher loved the fish...
Katherine loved these stalagmites.

Faust Park

My kids LOVE the carousel at Faust Park. We went one day and had a great time. No pictures of Christopher on the carousal, but know that he WAS there. They have a great playground, too.
